If the shape of our felted lamps reminds you of hats, it is not by chance because they are “qelesh”, traditional Albanian hats. They are still commonly worn today by men in rural areas of Albania and we were inspired by them for the creation of our flagship lights.

The wool of the mountain sheep undergoes a long process to obtain a light cloud. It is then patiently felted with soap and hot water until a regular and compact layer is obtained. Then, it is shaped around a wooden mold. The wool used for our lamps comes only from the late summer shearing. A long felting process makes the lamps both fine and firm, while letting the light filter through, creating a relaxing and warm atmosphere. Our producer works in the small workshop that was his father's, following a tradition passed down within the family for many generations.
